e8 and e9 were amazing. in the past i've told you that Rebels is my favorite Star Wars anything since the OT. Andor has surpassed that. five random thoughts on the third triad for s2:

1) i want to live in a tropical hut on Space Planet Vietnam

2) Wilmon needs to stop thinking with his d*ck

3) Mon's face after Cassian shoots Kloris was fantastic

4) Syril finally stops being dangerously naive...on the last day of his life

5) the shift in Draven's tone before Cassian flies off to do Cassian things (respect my authori-tay!!!) and when Cassian returns from doing Cassian things (wanna watch TV with me pal?) was highly amusing

The whole sequence with Mon having her face jammed right in the violent, traumatic logical conclusion of her choices was fantastic. You see through that episode that Luthen really has been sheltering and protecting her the entire time. Cassian has lived this reality for years; in his world everyone who has blinked or hesitated is already dead. The alternative to Tay's murder was always Mon disappearing into an ISB black site, and that is the realization on her face as Cassian drops their agents without a second thought.

I have a half serious theory (more serious in S1, now less so) that Luthen is some sort of Jedi exile. His predilection for insanely rare Rakatan artifacts would make sense if he has access to some sort of cache from the dissolved Order.

I do love that- in a Star Wars- Luthen can basically call Andor out for seeming like some sort of Main Character that he knows, but it instead plays gracefully as the hand of fate.

I was very glad for Bix being able to choose her own ending, if indeed that is what that is for her. She's been through enough, and I was worried that she was in for something with more convention and less agency.

I never knew I wanted some Les Miserables in my Star Wars until I got it. Right down to Syril-as-Javert.

Yeah, yeah, Draven. How nice. Let's stay on target: Tonight could be a big one for all us long suffering Crix Madine fans. In the true golden age we're in, it will be a recast younger actor, but the beard will still be fake. Fingers crossed.
