What a brilliant article. It reminded me of everything I love most about Star Wars.

Beautifully put.

That said, I am not sure the statement, "I’m not an investor in Star Wars" is entirely factual.

Great analysis. Also had one of the best lightsaber duels of the entire 9-episode saga.

Great article. Give it 20 years and this movie will be held up as one of the best of the entire catalogue. Just as Empire was received with polarized opinions (I was 10, I remember), this movie will hold up over time and sustain as one of the greats.

Wow, where do I even start? I loved The Rise of Skywalker because it gave me everything I wanted. The Last Jedi did something better: it gave me everything I didn't even know I wanted. I first saw the film on Christmas. My friend bought the tickets days before and I still consider it to be one of the best presents she ever got me. I had quite possibly the worst day at my work the previous night and I sincerely believe God was rewarding me with one of the best theatrical experiences of my life. I was challenged in unexpected ways and I was thrilled beyond my mind.

There are three Star Wars movies that I hold closest to my heart: Return of the Jedi, Attack of the Clones, and The Last Jedi (one from each trilogy; I actually didn't do that on purpose). After Revenge of the Sith "ended" the saga, I didn't think that I could ever feel this way again. Thankfully, I was wrong. This article is fantastic. Keep up the great work!
