Some Christians (especially Eastern Orthodox and Catholic) would take exception to a flippant joke referring to the cup that held Jesus' Precious Blood as a "juice glass." I know you probably meant no harm and didn't want to be irreverent (at least I hope not), but please be more careful when talking about a sacred subject.
I do agree with you that the Christian fantasy of this film is outlandish, but I wish you hadn't cited Indy's quote from Dial of Destiny that basically denies objective truth: "It's not so much what you believe [unfortunately, some people both past and present, sincerely believe in Nazism], it's how hard you believe it [believing the world is flat doesn't make it so]."
I didn't mean to write so much about the two little things in your essay that I disliked. The rest of it, however, I truly enjoyed and I commend you for writing so well, particularly about Sean Connery (I know three people personally who say this is their favorite Indiana Jones film just because of him) and the tank sequence (definitely one of the best action scenes of the series).
