I feel like fully half of the characters I use on Ahch-To Baby are exclamation points!!!
When it was announced that everything Lucasfilm related was now ‘in canon’ I always thought video games in particular made that a hard sell. Is it really canon that Cal Kestis has killed 200 Scout Troopers, all armed with electro-staffs? I wouldn’t want video games to conform too much to the real. I want a massive playground of enemies and crazy lightsaber moves and cinematic over-the-topness. In this, we see some mysterious enemies that look like they’re straight out of a Dark Horse comic, and some mysterious friends too. But more than that, we see crazy fun gameplay. Cal channeling Spider-Man. Cal taking out lightsaber #2 for dual wielding goodness!
Anyway, the first Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order was an incredibly engaging game and a well-told story too. I will confess here that I found it a little too hard at times and turned down the Difficulty in key moments so I could get to the next part of the story. I invoked, in my mind, my good friend Dave, whose view on Video Games was and is: “The game works for me, I don’t work for the game.”
Bless all of you who love to repeatedly die in service of a future victory. Yesterday I turned 47, so being reminded of my mortality is something I don’t do for fun. I’d rather pretend to be good at things.

This looks incredible!
I agree that I'd prefer video games be a canon unto themselves. It's hard enough keeping all the films and TV shows in alignment. I'd much rather have the games in their own little sandboxes.
