I think there's something so wise and healthy about the posture of patiently reconsidering the parts of Star Wars that are too easily and quickly dismissed. (Still waiting for the Acolyte discourse to turn around...)
I was totally guilty of not giving this show a chance when it came out; returning to it last year, I found it surprisingly compelling even with some of its flaws. I wrote a bit, for Star Wars News Net, about a throughline that I completely missed the first time and found really interesting the second time: how Boba's journey in this mirrors Luke's journey in the original trilogy.
Glad you're doing this! I really enjoyed this series and was surprised by the negative reaction it got.
It's been quite a while since I watched Book of Boba Fett. Might be time for a revisit soon.
