I think it's almost too obvious that Qimir could be the master, which is why I think he won't be. The show clearly wants us to think he is. It's a trap!
I too appreciate the sense that anything can happen because we don't know the story of anyone involved. Paired with the very serial-killer vibe from the master, it feels like anyone can go at any moment, and I fracking love it.
I am super devastated that we got a Wookiee Jedi but didn't get to see him in action.
I love your comments amd thoughts. I am lucky to have a very dear friend visiting for the summer so we have been watching ( and are as riveted as you). My other Star Wars brother is in South Africa so we have to wait a day so he can watch it so we have to go dark till Thursday and by that time the episode is rewatched by the French Contingent ( sorry that's where I live for now). My sister lives in Sydney and they are fans but will not yet let their daughter watch this content as she is a bit young but we have all enjoyed it and came up with similar theories. Is that not what makes SW such fun. That, and Cliff Hanger/ Series concept is so very SW since '77.
I am thinking Mother Koril is a good candidate. I am iffy on Qimir however I thought that more last week. Now I am not so sure. I also got Kylo vibes and that took me back to origins of Old Snoke. I mean he was cloned but from what and where did Palps dig him up.
I then remembered a legends book about Darth ( was it Revan, I can't quite remember ) who kept his essence in a Holdo Ron and Luke let him out and they had a whole fight.... so I sense a strong Sith introduction here. Where in the Sith timeline are we exactly , I will have to go look it up but the potential green is fantastic sort of the Sith collecting people / Knights of Ren vibes. We have the light red saber come out so we shall see.
I live that we have no idea what's going to happen although Kelnacca dead , Karrabassst , I liked him.
I also like the blue magic instead of the witches of Dathomirs green. All such fun and the emblems etc has such a Celtic, Druidry, Māori feel to it.
What an episode!

i thought Koril was a candidate for the mother until i saw a screen of the (probably) Sith's hand. the skin tone is dark and the size looks male.
still loving the series! e5 is supposed to be the "oh sh*t!!!" episode, so i'm expecting a big reveal and/or lots of Jedi deaths.
